A boilerplate is a standard paragraph or two of words that accompanies any document sent out by an organization, such as a press release or event announcement.
When creating a Marketing portfolio, one may want to include any examples of boilerplate text written for other clients or organizations. Often these examples will be easily visible on the other marketing material examples in the portfolio, however, it is worth noting if you are the author of the boilerplate text.
